Intro into Us

We are Jimmy and Shara Ybarbo, we grew up in church and have been serving the Lord since childhood. We both have a history in various ministries, Jimmy's main (but not his only) focus was to the needy, and the homeless - the forgotten and unloved; while my focus was to the youth ministry, foster kids, and fine arts ministry. We came together about 4 years ago, Jimmy has 3 daughters, and I have 1 daughter and 3 sons; altogether we have 7 kids, and 5 grandkids so far!

When we married, we were in a different place, Jimmy had been through some things that were devastating and life changing; and I had experienced devastating loss; and that’s when we found each other. Together we found so much joy and hope, we were delirious in love. Then, when the dust settled and we really began life together - we quickly realized that we were both so damaged from our past that we were a very toxic combination. While we were madly in love with each other, spiritually, we were in shambles. We had never healed from what damaged us before we married each other, so it provided the perfect storm for a very bad situation - where we found ourselves in complete and utter despair… even while in each other’s arms. The hurt and rejection from family, the gut-wrenching pain of deep loss, the loss of ability to fully trust, and the unforgiveness and bitterness from our pasts became huge blocks in our marriage - which emphasized the addictions that we both already had prior to meeting each other.


Then, in March of 2024, we made a decision. We uprooted our entire lives, sold our home and moved out into the country. This is where we found God, a new relationship with Him. One where we fully trust and rely on Him, His grace and His love every single day. When we made that decision, we gave it ALL over to Him; all of the hurt, the pain, the loss, the depression, the anxiety, the desperation for something we could feel, the addiction…. All of it, we walked away and gave it all to Him. Now, 14 months and a lot of hard work later, we find ourselves FULL of love, happiness, freedom and fulfillment like we have never experienced before. We love each other freely, without walls or barriers, we started 2 businesses together and are currently living, working, and loving together every single day, with Christ at the wheel. We have the privilege of spending our days working, while also sharing our testimony with people just like us, that are in the same place we were just a little over a year ago… we get to SHOW them that they are not at the end, they do not have to stay where they are - their story is not over - and we get to share it every day through our business and ministry. THIS is the life God intended for us!

Ornaments - An Intro into Shara

          I began the journey into my soul searching a few years ago, and it has all led me here… today, to this moment. How I got here, well, that’s a much longer story than any of us have time for, so I will tell it like this:           From early on in life, I learned to…… well…. Let me put it this way…           You know when you have a Christmas tree, and over the years, you collect ornaments. Over time, you begin each Christmas season, placing each ornament on the tree, each one representing a moment in time, a memory for you, for your kids, or even better, for the whole family. You know, the one you got on that vacation of a lifetime that you took your kids on, just ONE time in their entire childhood.
